Two traffic islands like this one outside Marble Elementary School have been installed on Burcham Drive using major grant money from the Safe Routes to School funding. The second is outside MacDonald Middle School at John R and Lexington. The City of East Lansing funded a third island out front of East Lansing High School at Division Street.
